Add Zenvi to your Custom HTML / Other site
If your site isn't built on WordPress, Shopify, or Wix, this is the universal method, and it's genuinely this simple regardless of what your site is built with (plain HTML, a static site generator, React, PHP, whatever else).
Step by step
Find your site's HTML template
Open the HTML file that defines your page layout in your code editor or hosting file manager. On a simple site this might be a single index.html. On a larger site, look for the shared layout, template, or footer file that every page includes, so you only have to add the snippet once instead of on every page individually.
Paste the snippet before </body>
Find the closing </body> tag near the end of the file. Paste your Zenvi embed snippet on its own line directly above it.
Save, deploy, and check your live site
Save the file and publish or redeploy your site however you normally do (upload via FTP, push to your host, redeploy your build, etc.). Open your live site in a browser and confirm the chatbot launcher appears.
This same before-</body> approach is exactly what the WordPress, Shopify, and Wix guides do under the hood, those platforms just give you a specific place to paste it instead of a raw HTML file.
Your embed snippet
This is the exact line you paste. Your real snippet has your own chatbot's widget key filled in automatically, find it on your live preview screen right after you build your chatbot, or anytime from your dashboard under Website integration.
<script src="https://app.zensebot.com/zensebot-loader.js" data-zenvi-key="YOUR_WIDGET_KEY" async></script>
Don't type this by hand, copy it directly from your dashboard so the widget key matches your actual chatbot.
Test your widget
Open your live site in a normal browser tab, not a preview or editor view, and give the page a few seconds to fully load. Your chatbot's launcher should appear in the corner of the screen. Click it, type a real question a customer might ask, and check that the answer sounds right. If nothing shows up, clear your browser cache and reload, or double-check the snippet was saved in the right place and that you're looking at the published version of your site, not a draft.
Still stuck? Email us with your site URL and we'll take a look, or open the chatbot on the Zenvi site itself and ask it, it's trained to walk you through this exact step.
